Q Transformers Wave 5 & 6 (Skids, Drift, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Lockdown)
Wave 5
This is an odd wave. If you look at the background art, it shows movie, G1, and I think Alternity as well. I guess they couldn’t decided hat category to put these two in. Skids seems to be an FJ Cruiser, which is different from every previous Skids toy. They should have done it as Optimus Prime, who is the only Transformers I can think of to ever have an FJ Cruiser as a vehicle mode. Drift is equally odd. He seems based on Universe Drift, though he is missing the Japanese writing and his hood is black. He certainly doesn’t look anything like Movie Drift. All around an odd wave, but not bad looking toys.
Wave 6
Do we really need more Movie Optimus Primes and Bumblebees? Couldn’t we have more G1 characters instead? They’re nice, but redundant, and I’m pretty sure we already had a Lockdown. Not sure why we needed one with a new face and stripes.
